2 wives shocked to learn their husband is a woman who was after their money

Sweety Sen (C) posing as Krishna Sen at wedding

Police in India have announced the arrest of a woman who posed as a man to get dowery from 2 families. 26-year-old Sweety Sen is accused of disguising herself as a man for four years. She tricked two women into marrying her for money, which is known as dowry, police in Haldwani said. Police superintendent Janmejay Khanduri said that Sen of Uttar Pradesh posed as a man named Krishna Sen on Facebook and seduced women before marrying 2 of them.
In 2014, Sen traveled to the Kathgodam area in Haldwani to meet a woman he became friends with on the social media website. She told the woman, identified as Kamini, that she was the son of a businessman, police said. The two got married later that year and Sen received the dowry from the bride’s family.
Two years later, Sen attracted another woman and married her. Sen rented a home that was shared with both of his wives, police said. Sen was finally exposed when she threatened to harm her second wife’s family when they failed to pay the dowry. During their investigation, police discovered that Sen was a woman.
Investigators said that during questioning, Sen said that she had dressed like a boy since childhood and always had her hair short. The wives were shocked with the discovery. They told police that Sen did not allow them to look at her body or touch her. She used sex toys to consummate the relationship, police said.
A medical examination concluded that Sen was biologically a woman, Khanduri added. Sen was booked into jail on charges of impersonation, fraud, and forgery. Police said they are looking for Sen’s family members who were present during the wedding and allegedly visited the homes of the two deceived women.
