Tattoo artist forcefully inks ‘I am a thief and loser’ on teen’s forehead for stealing bike from handicapped man

People called on police to arrest a tattoo artist for causing permanent damage and humiliation to a teenager. 27-year-old Maycon Wesley from Brazil, decided to use his skills as a tattoo artist to carry out street justice on the teenager. Wesley said that he saw the 17-year-old boy stealing a bike from a handicapped man. He intervened and stopped the theft. The tattoo artist and his friend then detained the teenager, and forcefully sat him on a chair. They were heard laughing as the friend took video of Wesley tattooing the Portuguese words “Eu sou ladrao e vacilao,” which translates to “I am a thief and a loser,” across the teen’s forehead.

The boy went missing after the incident. His family and concerned people who saw the video, called police. Wesley and his friend, 29-year-old Ronildo Moreira de Araujo, who recorded the video, were arrested and charged with torture. They told police that they have no knowledge of the teen’s
wearabouts. He was eventually found safe.
The teenager denied the allegations that he tried to steal the bike. He claims that he was drunk when he accidentally bumped into the man and he fell off his bike.  The 17-year-old had cuts on his arms and legs from being restrained by the two suspects. The boy gave an interview without showing his face. He said that he “wanted to die,” when he saw what the men wrote on his forehead.
