One thing you should never put in or on your luggage before going on holiday

As blissful as escaping on holiday can be, there a few things which can turn the dream into a nightmare. One of these is losing your luggage. Many of us know the feeling of being the last person at the carousel, willing your bag to manifest itself out of nowhere. To help expedite the process of being reunited with our lost luggage, you might be tempted to place some sort of ID on or even inside it, such as an address. While former Royal Air Force pilot Jonathan Breeze advocated popping a business card inside your luggage on Quora , displaying your whole address - or even a friends' - could be disastrous.
Richard Clive Owens, a regular traveller for work and events warned Mamamia about the dangers of doing this. Instead, he suggests "Put a work address and mobile number on it. Then, even if your mobile has a problem, your name and work address will help you and your underwear get reunited."
Better yet, he goes on to recommend taking a photo of your luggage, putting it in a word document along with your contact details and the dimensions of your luggage and carrying this on your person.
