Chicago's new Apple store has a MacBook Air for a roof

The roof went up a few weeks ago on the new Apple store in downtown Chicago, but it wasn't until one detail was added Thursday that the design started to really come together. Local media outlet DNAInfo in Chicago said the logo was on the roof for only about an hour before it was rolled up. But now you can't unsee the design — it's totally a giant MacBook Air. The image came as a surprise to many. Early photos from London-based design firm Foster + Partners showed an all-glass building with the signature roof - but there was no sign of the giant apple. However, the Chicago Tribune did report back in March that an Apple logo was planned for the roof.
