Chile builds new hub for world's largest telescope

Northern Chile is fast becoming the astronomical eyes of the world. The Atacama desert has ideal geographic and climatic conditions which provide astronomers with unparalleled views and minimum light pollution. And now an enormous astronomical centre that will house the world's largest telescope is under construction to allow scientists to explore previously unknown areas of the universe.
