Siblings arrested after police found $24 million cash in walls of their home

It took Florida authorities six years of hard work to bring down a pair of drug dealers.However, their efforts paid off as they not only arrested a brother and sister team, but authorities have also recovered the largest stash of money in the department's history. 44-year-old Luis Hernandez-Gonzalez, and his sister Salma Hernandez, 32, were both taken into custody after Miami-Dade police and the Drug Enforcement Agency worked together to bring them down. Hernandez-Gonzalez ran a business called The Blossom Experience. According to his website, he sold lights and gardening equipment.
However, authorities said that he sold equipment that was used to grow marijuana. Authorities believe that was a front for his growing drug trade. They also suspected that Hernandez-Gonzale taught his customers how to properly grow the drugs, and he would then buy the marijuana from them to be resold. Authorities listened in on the phone calls of the siblings who used code words for their drugs. When they gathered enough information, officers went to the home for a major drug bust. They found 300 marijuana plants, at least five guns and $24 million in cash. The cash was hidden inside orange buckets, and they were placed inside walls of a room. Hernandez-Gonzalez is being held on $4 million bond. His sister’s bond was set at $12,500.
