Shop owner receives death threats after displaying biblical sex toys

A  sex shop owner has been bombarded with death threats after displaying sex toys with biblical images. Spanish shop owner Hector Valdivielso commissioned an artist to paint biblical figures onto sex toys at his store Non Sit Peccatum. He then used these to depict the iconic scene, featuring Mary, Joseph and baby Jesus. While some people loved the display, others were offended as  hoards of locals have since complained about the raunchy sight. He has received numerous threats after a group Virgin Mary, launched a boycott of the store ,scrawling "pecadores" (sinners) on the shop's sign, The Local Spain reports.
He wrote on Facebook:
"A man with his wife ordered me to remove the offending scene and said that if I didn’t he would remove it himself."
"It was affecting my business," explained Valdivielso. "Who wants to come to a store like this to hear a sermon?".
Last week, he withdrew the window display and replaced it with a poster inviting passersby to vote on whether he should reinstate it. The public overwhelmingly voted for its return, with 78.5 percent of the 988 people who took part voting ‘yes’.
Mr Valdivielso said: ‘People asked me not to give in to blackmail. So it’s going back in the window.’
