Russia launches appeal with Swiss federal court against ban on Paralympics team

The Russian Paralympic Committee has launched an appeal in the Swiss federal court against the court of arbitration for sport’s decision to uphold a blanket banon their athletes competing at next month’s Rio Games.
“The appeal has been launched in the Swiss court,” the Interfax news agency quoted the RFC president, Vladimir Lukin, as saying on Friday.
The appeal will be held on Monday. This week Cas rejected an RPC appeal against the ban issued by the International Paralympic Committee.
