Home invader got severely beaten by homeowner

Mugshot of robber

A man entered a home with a baseball bat with the intent of robbing a homeowner. But he got more than he nargained for when the homeowner managed to take the baseball bat away from him and beat him up it. Police in Florida, said that Noah Dassat, 33, broke into a home in Charlotte County, armed with a bat. He then attacked the husband in front of his wife and three young children. The husband managed to tackle the suspect while his wife grabbed the bat from him. The woman beat the suspect, causing severe injuries.
He finally managed to flee from the home and he went to the Port Charlotte Hospital, where he allegedly gave a false name to avoid being detected. However, doctors told police that the man with severe injuries matches the description they gave of Dassat. He was charged with armed burglary, battery and criminal mischief. Dassat was booked into jail without bond.
Dassat’s mugshot shows him with gauze wrapped around his head and a black eye.
