England manager Roy Hodgson resigns after humiliating exit from Euro 2016

Roy Hodgson, on Monday night, became the latest high-profile leader to lose his job after the 68 year-old resigned as England manager following their gutless defeat to Iceland in Nice. After taking an early lead in their Round of 16 game through captain Wayne Rooney, England were pegged back when Ragnar Sigurdsson headed in from close range. Kolbeinn Sigthorsson extended Iceland's lead in the 18th minute at the Allianz Riviera stadium, however Hodgson was unable to turn things around and England were duly dumped out of Europe. Shortly after their defeat, Hodgson announced he would quit his post with immediate effect.
