Passenger plane gets hit by birds during descent

This is the shocking damage caused to a passenger jet hit by a bird strike as it landed at Heathrow. The EgyptAir flight was on its descent into the UK from Cairo with 71 passengers on board when the incident occured. The bird strike hit the nose of the Boeing 737-800, leaving a huge hole filled with blood and feathers.
Bird strikes hitting aircraft are relatively common but rarely cause human injury.
