This robot can read human love emotions through their hands

The True Love Tinder Robot

This robot, named The True Love Tinder claims that it can reveal emotions of love in a person based on electrical pulses in their hands as well as the level of sweat in the hands. We are not always honest with ourselves, especially when it comes to love, and this is where the True Love Tinder Robot can lend a hand. The creator of The True Love Tinder The True Love Tinder, composed of hand imprints used as sensors, a display screen and an artificial arm explains that when someone’s image gets displayed on the screen, the robot reads your emotional reaction to the picture and uses the arm to swipe left or right indicating your emotions.
For instance, if the person, whose image is displayed, happens to spark your interest, the Tinder will automatically read your sweaty palms and the robotic arm will swipe right for you. Should your palms remain dry, the Tinder swipes left indicating there is ‘no love emotion’. In addition to this, the machine provides basic remarks on the decisions you make in succession.
Nicole He, an NYU grad student, is the brains behind the modern-day version of the classic love-tester machine. The True Love Tinder Robot, which He made using LEDs, a text-to-speech unit, servos, an Arduino, a speaker, and a galvanic skin response sensor made of metal sheets; was her final project. Nicole, who was studying Intro to Physical Computing and Intro to Computational Media courses, said the inspiration for the project was derived from a combination of two ideas. One was the frequent use of algorithms on dating sites to find suitable partner matches for different people and the use of biometric devices to read physical conditions and make predictions as well as recommendations as to what should be done to make us healthier and happier. By combining the two ideas, she was able to create the True Love Tinder.
