Corpse of woman stolen from casket in funeral home

The family of Julie Mott, 25. Are forced to deal with losing her a second time as her body have been reported stolen from inside a San Antonio funeral home, following her service on August 15.  According to investigators, Julie’s body was taken from her casket at Mission Parks Funeral Chapel North, baffling all parties involved.
Julie’s father, Tim Mott was quoted saying: . "We just want our daughter's remains returned so we can have some closure to our grief".
 "It's really quite concerning," said SAPD Sgt. Javier Salazar. "We are hoping that the public may be able to help assist us". Mott's body was discovered missing the next morning, when staff went to take her for cremation and found the casket had been broken into, Salazar said.
Julie died after a life-long battle with cystic fibrosis, a genetic disease that causes persistent lung infections and limits the ability to breathe.

Julie Mott's family is close friends with the owner of Mission Parks Funeral Home, which is offering $20,000 to help catch the person responsible.
